Who we are and what we do

"Quilting Queens of Jimboomba" is a group of people who meet every Tuesday to make quilts for children of the Sandra Jones Centre in Zimbabwe and for local foster children. We are based in Jimboomba Christian Family Church, cnr of Merton and Tamborine Sts, Jimboomba, Qld. We need to raise money to buy fabric and to pay for postage to Zimbabwe, so we are offering a service of "quilts on commission", making quilts at excellent prices for anyone who wishes to order them. This page will show pictures of some designs you may choose. We will work with you to produce a design that you like.

Sizes and base prices:
Cot quilt or TV quilt for a preschool child: 90cm x 120 cm : $60
Lap quilt for older child or adult: 137cm x 137cm : $100
Single bed topper: 137cm x 180cm: $150
Double or queen topper: 180cm x 180cm: $200

What this includes:
Fabric from our stash
Simple designs with big pieces
Simple straight line quilting
Polar fleece backing, no wadding.

We will consult with you to work out a design and colours you are happy with. Some options will cost more eg: fabric of a particular theme (eg fairies, cars, music) which we need to buy for your quilt. More complex designs which take longer to make
